# FAQ

## I signed up with email but did not receive the login email. What should I do?

Wait a few minutes, check that you entered the correct email address, and try signing in again from [app.scholars.net/account/login](https://app.scholars.net/account/login).

For more detail, see [Create your account](/how-to/create-your-account.md#frequently-asked-questions).

## I signed up with Google. Can I also log in with email?

Yes, as long as you enter the email address that belongs to your Google account.

For more detail, see [Create your account](/how-to/create-your-account.md#frequently-asked-questions).

## Do I need to complete my profile to apply to projects?

No, but a fuller profile increases your chances of being selected for projects.

For more detail, see [Onboarding](/info/onboarding.md#frequently-asked-questions) and [Complete your profile](/how-to/complete-your-profile.md).

## Why do I not see any jobs available?

Jobs are location-dependent, and there may not be available jobs for your location yet.

For more detail, see [Apply for a job](/how-to/apply-for-a-job.md#frequently-asked-questions) and [Jobs](/info/jobs.md).

## I applied for a job but have not heard back. What should I do?

This is normal. There is nothing additional you need to do unless you receive an offer or a follow-up message.

For more detail, see [Apply for a job](/how-to/apply-for-a-job.md#frequently-asked-questions).

## Can I take assessments on my phone or tablet?

No. Assessments must be taken on a desktop computer.

For more detail, see [Take an assessment](/how-to/take-an-assessment.md#frequently-asked-questions).

## Can I retake assessments?

It depends on the assessment. The creator of each assessment decides whether retakes are allowed.

For more detail, see [Take an assessment](/how-to/take-an-assessment.md#frequently-asked-questions).

## Do I need identity verification to work on projects?

Most projects require identity verification, so we strongly recommend completing it.

For more detail, see [Verify your identity](/how-to/verify-your-identity.md#frequently-asked-questions).

## I have a workspace account, but I did not receive the email with my temporary password. What should I do?

Go to [app.scholars.net/talent/profile?tab=account](https://app.scholars.net/talent/profile?tab=account) and click *Reset workspace password*.

For more detail, see [Use your workspace account](/how-to/use-your-workspace-account.md).

## How should I track breaks?

Stop the timer when you start your break, then start the timer again when you finish your break.

For more detail, see [Track the time spent on a job](/how-to/track-the-time-spent-on-a-job.md#frequently-asked-questions).

## Does Scholars pay my taxes for me?

No. Scholars does not deduct taxes from your payments. You are responsible for following your local tax rules.

For more detail, see [Taxes](/info/taxes.md).

## Where do I set up my tax information?

Go to your profile, open *Payouts & Verification*, and select the payment provider used for your offer.

For detailed instructions, see [Set up your tax information](/how-to/set-up-your-tax-information.md).

## Can I receive payments in USD if my local currency is different?

In some countries, yes. You cannot currently choose this directly in Scholars. Email <ask.scholars@imerit.net> if you want to ask whether USD payments can be enabled for your account.

If your country and payout method support USD payments, Scholars may be able to enable them for you. USD payments may use a SWIFT transfer, which can add a fee of about USD 20-30. This fee is paid by the payment recipient.

For more detail, see [Get paid](/how-to/get-paid.md).
